Every band in the programme has a fixed 2-hour slot once a week for 12 consecutive weeks, at a professional practice studio in Central London. Same band. Same studio. Same time each week. No renegotiation, no group chats trying to find a slot that works for everyone.

Your dedicated band director is there every session. They set the setlist from songs each member suggests, assign parts, give feedback, and keep the rehearsal productive. A rough audio recording is made at the end of each session and shared with the band so everyone can practise at home during the week.

What does the programme build toward?

Every term ends with a live show at an iconic London venue. Not a casual jam in a back room. A proper stage, a proper sound set-up, a professional sound engineer, and an audience of friends and family. It is the goal the whole 12 weeks builds toward.

How are bands formed?

Before being placed in a band, every musician comes in for a Meet & Greet with one of our band directors. It is a relaxed in-person session where we get to know your playing level, the music you love, and what you want from the term. Bands are 4 or 5 people, matched by skill level, instrument, and musical taste.

We do not rush the matching process. Finding the right group takes time, and we would rather wait until there is a proper fit than place you in something that is not quite right.

What is the commitment?

We ask members to attend at least 9 of the 12 sessions and to practise at home between rehearsals. If you need to miss a session, just let your band director know. At the end of the term you can stop, ask to be moved to a different band, or roll over into the next term with the same group. Most people roll over.
